Seven, hydrogen application
1. Hydrogen is the main industrial raw material and the most important industrial gas and special gas. It has a wide range of applications in petrochemical, electronics, metallurgical industry, food processing, float glass, fine organic synthesis, aerospace and other fields.
2. It is used as raw material for synthetic ammonia, synthetic methanol, synthetic hydrochloric acid, reducing agent for metallurgy, hydrodesulfurization agent for petroleum refining, etc.
3. Hydrogen plays a major role in all aspects of biological aspects of biology.
Eight, matters needing attention
Hydrogen is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic, flammable and explosive gas. It is explosive with fluorine, chlorine, oxygen, carbon monoxide and air. The mixture of hydrogen and fluorine is at low temperature and darkness. The environment can spontaneously explode. When the volume ratio of chlorine to chlorine is 1:1, it can also explode under illumination. Since hydrogen is colorless and odorless, the flame is transparent when burned, so its presence is not easily detected by the senses. In many cases, odorous ethanethiol is added to the hydrogen gas to make the sense of smell and to impart color to the flame at the same time.
Although hydrogen is non-toxic, it is physiologically inert to the human body, but if the hydrogen content in the air is increased, it will cause hypoxic asphyxiation. As with all cryogenic liquids, direct contact with liquid hydrogen will cause frostbite. Liquid hydrogen overflow and sudden large-area evaporation can also cause environmental anoxic, and may form an explosive mixture with the air, causing a combustion explosion accident. Mixing with air can form an explosive mixture that can explode if exposed to heat or an open flame. The gas is lighter than air. When used and stored indoors, the air leakage rises and stays on the roof is not easy to discharge. In case of Mars, it will cause an explosion. Hydrogen reacts violently with halogens such as fluorine, chlorine, and bromine.
Because hydrogen is a flammable compressed gas, it should be stored in a cool, ventilated warehouse. The temperature in the warehouse should not exceed 30 °C. Keep away from fire and heat. Protect from direct sunlight. It should be stored separately from oxygen, compressed air, halogen (fluorine, chlorine, bromine), oxidant, etc. Do not mix and store. The lighting, ventilation and other facilities in the storage room shall be explosion-proof, and the switch shall be located outside the warehouse, equipped with the corresponding variety and quantity of fire-fighting equipment. It is forbidden to use mechanical equipment tools that are prone to sparks. Pay attention to the name of the product during the acceptance, pay attention to the date of the bottle inspection, and the first use of the advanced warehouse. Lightly load and unload during handling to prevent damage to cylinders and accessories.
