Recently, our professional inspection team was invited to conduct a comprehensive safety inspection of cryogenic tanks for a local food enterprise. The cryogenic tanks of this enterprise are mainly used for the storage and transportation of liquid nitrogen and liquid carbon dioxide, supporting the entire process of food freezing, preservation and processing. As core storage and transportation equipment in the food industry, their safe and stable operation is directly related to food quality and safety, production compliance and personnel safety, and is also a key link for enterprises to implement food safety production standards.
focusing on the pain points of cryogenic tank use in the food industry, conducting comprehensive and non-dead-angle inspections to effectively prevent potential safety hazards. During the inspection, we focused on checking the appearance of the tank body, carefully inspected the tank, pipelines and valves for abnormal frosting, cold leakage, rust or deformation, especially inspected key joints such as welds and flanges, to eliminate food contamination or safety accidents caused by minor leaks; we calibrated safety accessories such as pressure gauges, liquid level gauges and safety valves one by one to ensure they are within the calibration validity period, sensitive and reliable, building the last line of defense for equipment safety.

In view of the particularity of the food industry, we specially strengthened hygiene and compliance inspections, checked whether the thermal insulation layer of the tank is intact, free from moisture and damage, to avoid increased energy consumption and pipeline brittleness caused by thermal insulation failure. At the same time, we inspected the tank grounding device and ventilation environment to ensure they meet the safety distance requirements for food production, away from fire sources and debris, and eliminate static electricity and lightning protection hazards. In addition, we also checked the tank operation records and inspection ledgers, and combined with the needs of low-temperature food storage and transportation, reminded the enterprise to control the tank filling rate in accordance with specifications, conduct regular equipment maintenance, and keep complete records for no less than 2 years.

After a comprehensive inspection, we promptly identified 3 potential hazards, issued a detailed inspection report on site, clarified the rectification plan and time limit, and provided one-on-one technical guidance to assist the enterprise in completing the rectification quickly, ensuring that the tanks meet the requirements of food safety production and special equipment compliance.
The core of cryogenic tank inspection in the food industry is "safety, compliance and hygiene". It is necessary to prevent safety risks such as equipment leakage and overpressure, as well as protect food freshness and safety, helping enterprises pass inspections by market supervision departments smoothly. We will continue to provide professional inspection services for food enterprises, and use standardized and refined inspections to build a solid safety barrier for food production and help enterprises operate in a compliant and efficient manner.
